APRIL 17, 2024, WASHINGTON – Defending Digital Campaigns (DDC), a nonprofit, non-partisan and non-aligned C4 organization committed to protecting democracy by providing free cybersecurity resources to political campaigns, announced today that it has received approval from Ethics Commission of Ohio to provide cybersecurity tools to campaigns at every level in the state. Under separate approval from the Federal Election Commission (FEC), DDC is available to provide these tools to candidates for federal office and state parties.

Google becomes 22nd company to partner with DDC
WASHINGTON, DC – Defending Digital Campaigns (DDC), a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization committed to bringing cybersecurity tools and resources to federal election campaigns, announced today that it has partnered with Google to provide campaigns with free security keys through the company’s Advanced Protection Program.
Google’s Advanced Protection Program is a critical and fundamental tool in protecting vital candidate and campaign assets like emails, documents, and contacts. It is Google’s strongest account protection measure against hackings.

Additionally, the group released a list of initial services that will be offered to campaigns including Agari, Area1, Cybrary, GRA Quantum, Lookout, and Wickr.
